Entry #02: Pets

Pets are extremely exciting - they are exciting when adopting and choosing the right one for your family and exciting to bring home and raise in your family. Household animals are some of the best decisions a person can bring into their homes. I have brought home many different animals into my own home and it is still so exciting to do no matter how many times I have done it. It is fascinating watching the animal be shy and timid and warming up and exploring everything, later they act like they are the owner of the house. 

The most recent animals I invited into my house were my two dogs, Buddy and Roscoe. 

Buddy was adopted at the Phoenix Humane Society and it was love at first sight. He was the most quiet out of his siblings and we played with him and decided he was the one. At first we thought he was a German Shepherd mutt but later realized he was more similar to a Belgian Malinois. He was very calm and timid but once he became comfortable, he is the most hyperactive dog I have ever met. This caused us to get our other dog, Roscoe.

Due to how hyper Buddy was, we decided to get a second dog to help burn some of his energy. After looking at many dogs, Roscoe was the only one who played with buddy right away. He is a Great Pyrenees and Border Collie mix. Surprisingly, he is an extremely lazy dog that is terrified of people. He hides behind me because he is still scared of my dad. 

These two dogs are the best and a highlight of my day when I get to see them. I love them dearly and I am grateful for them to have come into my life. 

Animals are so important to humans. We have created a mutual bond with animals and it is beautiful. Pets are truly amazing in every sense.
